We are a small market garden providing a variety of vegetables, located ½ mile north of the Woodstock Fairgrounds on scenic highway 169. Although we are not a certified organic grower, we are a member of the CT chapter of NOFA and have signed the pledge to grow our vegetables without chemical fertilizers or herbicides.
About our name:
“Holmeslea” was the name given by American author, poet and physician, Oliver Wendell Holmes, to the family ancestral home and estate, which included our property. We chose to honor this part of Woodstock’s rich history and its contribution to American history and literature in the naming of our market garden micro farm.
In 2015 we will be attending the Putnam Farmers Market on Mondays and Thursdays and the Danielson Farmers Market on Saturdays. We hope to see you there!
